Kidney Supportive Care wins a Metro North Research Excellence Award

9 Nov 2017

The Kidney Supportive Care (KSC) project, an innovative service designed to improve the well-being of patients with advanced chronic kidney disease and their families, won the 2017 Metro North Research Excellence Award in the category “Health Services and Implementation Research”. During the first 12 months of operation KSC demonstrated its capacity to support patients through a holistic approach to care and better symptom control, while promising cost-savings due to coordination and patient involvement in informed decision-making.

CBEH is a partner organisation in the project with Prof Luke Connelly and Dr Marcin Sowa leading the economic evaluation and health services research. A project description is available here.

Further information on the award can be found on the Metro North website.
