About

Su is a Senior Research Assistant at The University of Queensland’s Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH). As a member of the Health Technology Assessment team at CBEH, she evaluates submissions made to the Australian Government to support reimbursement of new medicines and medical devices through the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) and the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS). Her interest in cost-effective and evidence-based medicine stems from her background in Pharmacy.

Research Interests

Health technology assessment: comprehensive assessment of the clinical efficacy, safety and cost-effectiveness of new medicines and medical technologies.

Economic evaluations: application of cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, and cost-minimisation analyses to inform decision-making.

Research Impact

My work in appraising submissions and preparing reports made to the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee and the Medical Services Advisory Committee has contributed to improved patient access to new pharmacotherapies and medical technologies.
