I am a senior research fellow and member of the Evolve Health Health Workforce Optimisation Program at The University of Queensland’s (UQs) Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH). This program is one of seven strategic Health Research Accelerator (HERA) initiatives announced by UQ in 2022, with the aim of addressing longstanding challenges and redefining the future of healthcare in Australia.

I am an experienced public health clinician (speech pathologist) and health service manager. Prior to joining UQ, I held senior positions in the Queensland Department of Health focusing on allied heath workforce reform, redesign, scope of practice and clinical education and training.

I bring experience in health equity, service development and innovation, as well as in stakeholder engagement, qualitative research, and evaluation. A key area of focus is workforce planning and the development and evaluation of innovative models of care to address longstanding and complex inequalities to the health and wellbeing of people and communities.
