The prestigious award celebrates their remarkable commitment to advancing health and medical research in Australia.

Mr Taylor and his family funded the 2015 establishment of UQ’s Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) and supports the ongoing operations of the Centre.

In recent years, the family sponsored a CBEH Taylor Family Chair position to provide a platform to bring together diverse research disciplines to work with key partners across Australia’s health sector.

Mr Taylor said the award reflects the important work of the Centre in pursuing research into economically sustainable healthcare systems.

“It has been impressive to follow CBEH move from strength to strength, deliver exceptional research and grow its prominence in the broader healthcare industry,” Mr Taylor said.

Since 2008, the Taylor family has supported numerous causes at UQ including the Clem Jones Centre for Ageing Dementia Research, COVID-19 Vaccine Research and various scholarships, programs and initiatives.

Their generosity continues to drive transformative change in health and medical research, working towards improving the health of Australians and communities across the globe.
