The Centre for the Business and Economics of Health (CBEH) improves health policy and outcomes through applied research in health economics, policy and business.

- If you’ve tried to get an appointment to see a GP or specialist recently, you will likely have felt the impact of Australia’s doctor shortages. What are physician assistants and are they the solution to our workforce issues we’ve been looking for?
- University of Queensland donors Paul and Sue Taylor have been recognised with the Great Australian Philanthropy Award at Research Australia's 2024 Health and Medical Research Awards.
- Research from CBEH, with input from national stakeholder engagement, has culminated in a major federal government report looking at the barriers health professionals face working to their full scope of practice.
